Description: The mission of the Van Buren Conservation District (VBCD) is to promote the conservation of natural resources through partnership by providing public education, demonstrations, and technical assistance while working together for future generations. The VBCD partners with the Van Buren County on the County Resource Recovery Program and provides educational information to local residents on recycling opportunities and proper solid waste management. Description: HHW Collection Event is free to all Van Buren County residents; please bring ID or tax bill to show residency/property ownership. Not accepted: motor oil, ammunition, explosives, asbestos, and radioactive materials. Tires must be RSVP'd due to limited space. Only small amounts of "-icides" accepted from households, not large amounts and not from farms.
