Description: The mission of the Kent County Department of Public Works is to foster collaborative and innovative solutions that deliver value to our stakeholders by managing discarded materials to conserve natural resources and promote a healthy, vibrant and sustainable community. South Kent Waste & Recycling Center serves as one of Kent County's Collection Sites for a variety of materials including but not limited to bulk cardboard recycling, electronics recycling, tire recycling, appliance recycling, in addition to landfill services. Services are available to Kent County residents and businesses as well as surrounding counties. Before going to this facility, check out the list of what’s acceptable for this facility and the potential recycling or disposal costs. If you have questions about what is recyclable, or need to find out where to recycle something that is not listed, email us or check the Recycling & Disposal Guide. Please note that there are separate areas on the South Kent Campus for the various streams or types of recycling and disposal.
