Description: The Athens-Hocking Solid Waste District is the most beautiful solid waste district in all of Ohio. The goal of the solid waste district is to reduce, reuse, and recycle solid waste that is generated in the district and to develop plans and programs and evaluate its successes. The district is responsible for planning and implementing, and the oversight of a 15 year comprehensive management plan. Our primary goal is to reduce, reuse, and recycle and eliminate adverse impacts of waste materials on public health and the environment. We do this by providing information and opportunities, expertise to businesses and residents, and providing programs that support sustainable materials management to reduce the environmental impact of waste. The Sutton Road Recycling Center is on Sutton Road in Logan Ohio. The Sutton Road Recycling Center is a Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM) where common unwanted items may be dropped off by appointment only. The Athens Hocking Solid Waste District will partner with local organizations so accepted materials will be reused, up-cycled, recycled or properly disposed. The Sutton Recycling Center located at 33845 Sutton Rd. in Logan, Ohio also serves as a 24 hour, 7 day a week household recycling & cardboard drop-off location. The Sutton Recycling Center is one of the busiest locations of the district’s 22 drop-off locations.

We cater to residents of Wisconsin and Minnesota states. We are BBB Certified with a rating of an A. Our mail in program caters to customers who can’t commute to our state-of-the-art recycling center.  The mail-in program is an elaborate way to bring accessibility and conveyance to you. That is not all we provide, if you live near our recycling center than you can rely on our drop-off facility. Description: Good News Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Wausau, WI. We are a registered e-CYCLING collector through the WI DNR's E-Cycle WI Program, open for electronics collection every Friday from 9am to 4pm, as well as occasional special events. We charge $0.45/lb (sole exception being smoke detectors - flat-rate $15), with all proceeds supporting our Health Equipment Lending Program (local loans of sanitized, used durable medical equipment to our community at no required cost) and our humanitarian shipments of durable medical equipment to those in need within the US as well as internationally. We accept almost all consumer electronics, as well as business devices. Collected electronics are prepared for final material recycling, then sent directly to an R2V3- and E-Stewards-certified, DNR-registered end recycler in Onalaska, WI, where an incredible 99.6% of the material taken in is reclaimed for use in future products!
