Description: Recycling in Bay City Who Can Recycle? Curbside recycling collection is available to all utility customers in the City of Bay City. What Can Be Recycled? Items collected at curbside include glass food/beverage bottles and jars; plastic bottles and containers; steel and aluminum cans; paper drink cartons; cardboard and boxboard; newspaper, magazines, junk mail and more. Check our recycling guidelines at BayCityRecycles.org. How Do I Recycle? Place all acceptable recyclable items into a single recycling container and set out each week on your regular collection day. 18-gallon recycling bins are available from the Sanitation Department at City Hall, 301 Washington Ave, Suite 413.

Businesses may set up a commercial recycling account with MARS for collection services or self-haul to a recycling processor. Current collection sites are located at: Standing Bear Trailhead (near the intersection of South 6th Street & Perkins Street) Beatrice Skate Park (near the intersection of Center Street & West Court Street). Midwest Area Refuse Solutions (MARS) offers a weekly curbside recycling service for paper, plastic, and cans. Residential curbside recycling service is $7.50 per month. Please call (402) 228-5211, and select Option 4 to enroll in this service.
