Midland Recyclers is a non-profit 501c3 organization serving the Great Lakes Bay Region for over 31 years. MIDLAND RECYCLERS ACCEPTS “HARD TO RECYCLE” ITEMS THAT CANNOT BE RECYCLED AT CURBSIDE. WHAT ARE “HARD TO RECYCLE” ITEMS? Plastic bags, shredded paper, vinyl siding, polystyrene foam, batteries, electronics, and colored glass containers. Description: Founded in 1977, Recycle Ann Arbor is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to innovative recycling programs that improve the environmental quality of our community. Recycle Ann Arbor's Drop-Off Station provides recycling and compost services for much more than what can be put in your curbside recycling bin. Accepting plastic bags, plastic bottle caps, styrofoam, textiles, electronics, yard waste and more, you really can increase your recycling through utilizing the Drop-Off Station station. Description: A solid waste transfer and recycling center. Mission Statement: To serve the residences and property owners of Jefferson Township and surrounding communities by having a clean, friendly and easily accessible facility for promoting recycling and affordable trash service. We are extremely proud to say that "No Jefferson Township taxpayer money is being used for the daily operation of our facility." Transfer station fees fully cover our daily operation. We have free recycling, on many items, for all participating townships. Our recycling program is funded by the sale of recyclables but when the market value of recyclable materials doesn't cover all cost then it is covered by transfer station revenues.
