The City of Grand Haven has also been voted the 2017 Happiest Seaside Town by Coastal Living. Our downtown features a rich history and vibrant shopping district, and the civic pride of the residents feature heavily into city planning and development. The downtown features public recycling available to businesses and residents downtown, and is open 24 hours a day to the public. City Hall is only open during selected hours.

Description: Founded in 1977, Recycle Ann Arbor is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to innovative recycling programs that improve the environmental quality of our community. Recycle Ann Arbor's Drop-Off Station provides recycling and compost services for much more than what can be put in your curbside recycling bin. Accepting plastic bags, plastic bottle caps, styrofoam, textiles, electronics, yard waste and more, you really can increase your recycling through utilizing the Drop-Off Station station. Description: A solid waste transfer and recycling center. Mission Statement: To serve the residences and property owners of Jefferson Township and surrounding communities by having a clean, friendly and easily accessible facility for promoting recycling and affordable trash service. We are extremely proud to say that "No Jefferson Township taxpayer money is being used for the daily operation of our facility." Transfer station fees fully cover our daily operation. We have free recycling, on many items, for all participating townships. Our recycling program is funded by the sale of recyclables but when the market value of recyclable materials doesn't cover all cost then it is covered by transfer station revenues.
