Description: Residents that Pay the Solid Waste Assessment to Marion County can use anyone of the 18 Recycling Centers at no charge. Residents can bring in thier household garbage and recyclables, plus other items. Items accepted for recycling include: Glass bottles sorted by color, rinsed, lids removed Accepting All Plastics: all plastics #1 through #5 and #7. No number #6 - Sorry No Styrofoam. Newspaper and inserts, loose or bundled Magazines and junk mail Clean corrugated cardboard, no wax coated and please flatten boxes Aluminum cans and clean aluminum foil Rinsed tin cans now go into the scrap metal box Used motor oil and oil filters (5 gallons or less per visit accepted in 1 gallon containers) Household and automotive batteries Latex paint (5 gallons or less per visit) Textiles - Clothes and shoes Yard waste (2 cubic yards per day per resident; under 4 inch diameter and 4 feet long accepted) Scrap metal and appliances--NO COMMERCIAL Sharps (In approved bio-hazard containers in the kiosks.) NO mattresses or box springs are accepted Electronic Equipment is Acceptable at the Recycling Centers as long it can safely go into the Compactor Boxes. Oversized Electronics will need to be brought to the Baseline Landfill for Proper Disposal. No Business generated E-waste accepted. NO furniture except on designated days

Description: American Waste is a privately-owned and operated family business, founded by Edward Ascione Sr. in 1971, and established as American Waste by his sons Eddie and Michael Ascione in 2002. We have 10 locations and 400 employees in Michigan. We operate two Material Recovery Facilities: • Traverse City single stream residential and business MRF, operational since 2011 • Kalkaska construction and demolition MRF, operational since 2008 We offer curbside recycling in Grand Traverse County, and operate 50 drop off recycling centers throughout Northern Michigan. Our Traverse City MRF processes recycled materials from 19 Michigan counties: Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee and Wexford counties in our surrounding area, and also Bay, Clare, Crawford, Genesee, Ingham, Mason, Oscoda, Otsego and Roscommon. We recycle up to 115 tons of material a day, and ship out 120 semi loads per month full of steel, aluminum, OCC, mixed paper, office paper, natural HDPE, colored HDPE, PET, and mixed plastics. 99% of the materials we receive are recycled or reused.

Description: The Lamoille Regional Solid Waste Management District is mission driven to reduce the quantity and toxicity of the trash being generated and sent to the landfill. Twelve member towns make up the LRSWMD: Belvidere, Cambridge, Craftsbury, Eden, Elmore, Hyde Park, Johnson, Morrisville, Stowe, Waterville, Wolcott, and Worcester. The LRSWMD operates six transfer stations across the District that are open to the public for trash, recycling, and management of special wastes and are open to the public. Description: Hardwick Recycling Center is located on 2011 Barre Rd. (Route 32), Wheelwright, MA a village of Hardwick MA. Our facility is open Wednesdays 9:00am-11:00am and Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm. In addition to accepting cardboard, mixed paper, commingle and glass we also take in many (HMW) hard to manage waste items such as mercury containing, ewaste, scrap metals, tires, used oil filters, used antifreeze, appliances, textiles, fluorescent bulbs, pcb-containing ballasts, etc. For a detailed list and pricing you can visit our website. One of the things we provide that is used by many is the "swap shed". New / gently used items come and go quickly.
